22.9. Check of the shock-absorber of blow
Remove a bumper.
Unscrew bolts or nuts and remove the blow shock-absorber from the car.
At damage of a carving it is possible to replace the carving plug of the shock-absorber of blow.
Visually check the blow shock-absorber for absence of damage and liquid leak.
Measure length and a mobile part of the shock-absorber of blow which has to be equal (126±1) mm (fig. 16-7).
On a trace of an attrition check the size of the course of a mobile part of the shock-absorber of blow which has to be no more than 30 mm.
If there are doubts in serviceability of the shock-absorber of blow carry out standard test as follows. Apply a tag on a mobile part of the shock-absorber of blow, at distance of 45 mm from its case. A press squeeze the blow shock-absorber as far as possible. After the compression termination a mobile part of the shock-absorber of blow has to go out of the case at former length no more than in 10 min. If time exceeds 10 min., the shock-absorber of blow is faulty and it needs to be replaced.
