24:39. Check of a heater of back glass
The heater of back glass represents a set of the horizontal conductors which are raised dust on the internal surface of back glass.
For detection of a rupture of the conductor of a heater of back glass include ignition and the switch of a heater of back glass.
Fig. 18-68. Use of a conclusion of the voltmeter which is wrapped up by a foil for detection of a rupture of the conductor of a heater of back glass

Connect one conclusion of the voltmeter to "mass" of the car, and wrap up the second conclusion a foil and move on the conductor of a heater (fig. 18-68).
Fig. 18-69. Use of the voltmeter for detection of the broken-off conductor of a heater of back glass
|
Connect a voltmeter conclusion in the center of each conductor of a heater of back glass. If the voltmeter shows voltage about 5 V, so the conductor of a heater is serviceable. If tension on the voltmeter 0 or 12 V – the conductor of a heater is broken off (fig. 18-69).
Fig. 18-70. Use of the voltmeter for detection of the place of a rupture of the conductor of a heater of back glass
|
For detection of the place of a rupture of the conductor of a heater connect one conclusion of the voltmeter to a positive conclusion of a heater, and – move the second for the heater conductor from a negative conclusion of a heater. The point in which tension shown by the voltmeter will go down to zero is the place of a rupture of the conductor of a heater (fig. 18-70).
