24:17. Adjustment of light of headlights
Exact adjustment is possible only by means of the special device.
At adjustment of light of headlights also fog lights are regulated.

For adjustment of light of headlights screws, access to which is possible through openings in the top part of a headlight (fig. 18-37), are used.
The external screw is intended for adjustment of light of headlights in the vertical plane, the internal screw – for adjustment in the horizontal plane.
At adjustment of light of headlights the following conditions have to be satisfied:
– pressure in tires normal;
– the car in the equipped state: with completely filled fuel tank, a set of the tool and a spare wheel;
– the car is installed on the flat horizontal platform;
– before adjustment it is necessary to shake a car body in order that all elements of a suspension bracket rose on the places;
– the proofreader of light of headlights is established in situation 0;
– only passing beam of headlights is regulated.
