1.17. Heating and ventilation

Air supply nozzles

Fig. 1-50. The direction of streams of the air given to interior of the car: 1 – to the lower part of a windshield; 2 – to wind and to side glasses; 3, 3a – to side glasses; 4 – to the top area of interior of the car; 5 – to legs

Nozzles serve for giving in salon of the warmed-up or cold air (fig. 1-50, 1-51).

Fig. 1-51. The direction of streams (3) air, given to legs of back passengers

Distribution of the given air on nozzles is regulated by position of the handle C (fig. 1-52).

Fig. 1-52. Control panel of a heater: And – the handle of the choice of air temperature for heating of the driver; In – the switch of steps of operation of the fan; With – the handle of distribution of air supply on nozzles; D – handle of the choice of temperature of the forward passenger

For the account snuffled 1 (fig. 1-50) remains not misted over the lower part of a windshield.
Nozzles 2 can be opened separately or to close the latches located sideways.
Nozzles 3 and 4 can be opened separately or to close the rotary wheels located sideways.
The direction of the stream arriving from snuffled, can change in the horizontal and vertical planes.
The direction of a stream of top snuffled (3a) can change only in the horizontal plane.
Nozzles for air supply are located to legs under forward seats and cope together with nozzles 5.

Governing bodies
A – the handle of the choice of air temperature for heating of the driver. Temperature smoothly increases at turn of the handle clockwise.
In – the fan switch.
In situation 0 the fan is switched off.

With – the handle of distribution of air supply on nozzles.

Air supply to legs is carried out through nozzles 5.
For increase in a stream of air close nozzles of ventilation 3 and 4.

Air supply to wind and side glasses and to legs is carried out through nozzles of ventilation 3, 4 and 5.

Air supply to wind and side glasses is carried out through nozzles of ventilation 1 and 2.

Air supply from ventilating grates of the dashboard is carried out through ventilating grates 3 and 4 dashboards. Nozzles of ventilation 1, 2 and 5 are closed.

D – the handle of the choice of air temperature for heating of the forward passenger.
Temperature smoothly increases at turn of the handle clockwise.

Defrosting of glasses
• Install the handle of the switch B in situation III.
• Turn handles of A and D switches clockwise against the stop.
• Install the handle of the switch C in situation.

Removal of condensate with wind and side glasses needs to be carried out at high humidity of air, for example at a rain.
• Install the handle of the switch B in situation III or IIII.
• Turn handles of A and D switches clockwise.
• Install the handle of the switch C in situation or.
• Close ventilating grates 4 dashboards.

Bystry warming up of interior of the car
• Install the handle of the switch B in situation III.
• Install the handle of the switch C in situation.
• Turn handles of A and D switches clockwise against the stop.
• Open ventilating grates 3 dashboards, 4 close ventilating grates.

Comfortable warming up of interior of the car. After defrosting of glasses and warming up of interior of the car use the mode of comfortable warming up of interior of the car.
• Install the handle of the switch B in situation II or III.
• Turn the handle of the A and D switch clockwise before obtaining the required temperature.
• Install the handle of the switch C in situation or.
• Establish ventilating grates 3 and 4 dashboards in desirable situation.

Airing of interior of the car. In this mode fresh air moves in salon through ventilating grates 3 and 4.
• Install the handle of the switch B in situation IIII.
• Turn handles of A and D switches against the stop counterclockwise.
• Install the handle of the switch C in situation.
• Open ventilating grates 3 and 4 dashboards.
• In order that heating and ventilation of salon worked reliably, the opening for an intake of fresh air located before a windshield needs to be cleared of ice, of snow and leaves.
• In any intermediate position it is possible to install only handles A, C and D.
• Heating ability of system of heating depends on temperature of cooling liquid in the engine cooling system therefore most quicker air in interior of the car heats up at the engine which is warmed up up to the working temperature.
• From interior of the car air is removed through air vents in a back part of a body – they should not be blocked.
