The list of governing bodies and control devices depends on execution of the car or is established by request.

Control devices
1 temperature of cooling liquid. The index works at the included ignition. At inclusion of ignition the control lamp blinks several seconds.
1 temperature of cooling liquid
If the arrow is in the left area of a scale, it is necessary to avoid increase in frequency of rotation and loading of the engine.
At the movement of the car in normal conditions of the shooter has to be in an average zone of a scale.
At big load of the engine and high temperature of external air perhaps from time to time finding of an arrow in the right area of a scale. It should not cause alarm until the lamp begins to blink.
If during the movement the control lamp of an overheat of cooling liquid begins to blink, it is necessary to look first of all what temperature is shown by the index of temperature of cooling liquid.
If the arrow is in a zone of normal working temperature, it is necessary to add cooling liquid to the cooling system as soon as possible.
If the arrow is in the right zone of a scale – temperature of cooling liquid is too high. It is necessary to stop the car, to switch off the engine and to establish the reason of temperature increase of cooling liquid.
2 – tachometer and digital watch. The arrow of a tachometer should not enter a red zone of a scale at all.
Timely switching to higher transfer allows to save fuel and reduces noise of the engine and transmission!
It is necessary to pass to lower transfer as it is possible later, shortly before the moment of emergence of breakthroughs in operation of the engine.
In the period of a running in it is necessary to avoid operation of the engine with high frequency of rotation of a bent shaft.
3 – a speedometer with the field of indication of the counter of a way (odometer) about service indicator. The top counter shows the general distance passed by the car, lower – a daily run.
Service indicator
After inclusion of ignition in the field of indication in the blinking mode for several seconds information on carrying out necessary service appears.
If service is not required, in the field of indication there is an In0 symbol which dies away at launch of the engine.
If there comes time for service, in the field of indication during 60 from later launch of the engine to be highlighted the message which has to appear for 1000 km of a run or in 10 days.
Highlighting of the following messages is possible:
• OEL – oil replacement service;
• l – main service;
• lI – additional service.
In the presence of a mistake in the field of indication dEF is highlighted.

4 – index of a reserve of fuel. The index works at the included ignition.
Capacity of the fuel tank of the car makes about 80-90 l.
If the index reached a red zone of a reserve reserve of fuel and the precautionary lamp burns, it means that there were about 12 more l of fuel.
5 – Check button. If it is several times short-term to press the Check button at the included ignition, the corresponding symbols appear. An inspection can be carried out at the working engine or at a speed of movement up to 5 km/h.
In the presence of serious violations (a red symbol) it is not recommended to carry out a further inspection.
6 – button of installation of the digital watch. It is intended for installation of time on hours.
At installation of hours press the left button h. If to hold the button pressed more than 5 with, change of figures happens to the increased speed.
At installation of minutes press the right min button. If to hold the button pressed more than 5 with, change of figures happens to the increased speed.
Through 15 from later otpuskaniye of buttons hours work in the normal mode.
7 – control lamps
8 – digital display. Indication of external temperature. Value of external temperature appears on the display at the included ignition, on cars with the automatic transmission – after movement of the lever of the selector.
If on the display the °F is highlighted, so temperature of external air makes +5 … –5 °C, frosting is possible.
9 – buttons of adjustment of intensity of illumination of the dashboard. Pressing of the "+" and "-" button it is possible to regulate intensity of illumination of the dashboard at the included external lighting.
Intensity of illumination of a combination of devices is regulated automatically depending on the general illumination.
If necessary the display can be switched-off pressing of the Reset button of the on-board computer and again to include repeated pressing the button.
10 – key of dumping of indications of the odometer (counter of a daily run). When pressing the button 000,0 of the indication of the daily odometer are established on 0.
Control lamps
The arrangement of control lamps in a combination of devices depends on model of the car and execution of the engine.
If during the movement the control lamp lights up, it is necessary to stop, switch off the engine and to check a condition of a maple belt.
If the tension of a belt weakened or it is broken off, it is impossible to continue the movement – the pump of the cooling system of the engine is not put in action. If necessary replace a belt.
If the control lamp burns, and a cooling system pump drive belt in good repair, it is possible to continue the movement to the nearest service enterprise Volkswagen.
For reduction of a discharge of the rechargeable battery it is necessary to switch off everything minor consumers of the electric power.
The control lamp lights up for several seconds after inclusion of ignition or during launch of the engine and dies away after the end of process of automatic check of operability of system.
If the control lamp does not light up in several seconds after inclusion of ignition, does not die away or lights up during the movement, then ABS is not serviceable.
With malfunction in system perhaps following:
– if the control lamp of anti-blocking system burns during the movement, the working brake system of the car functions without anti-blocking system. It is necessary to address to the service enterprise Volkswagen as soon as possible;
– if the control lamp of anti-blocking system burns together with a control lamp of the brake system, it means that both systems are faulty.
Prevention
At malfunctions in anti-blocking and brake systems about which both control lamps signal, when braking perhaps premature blocking of back wheels. In this case it is necessary to address to the service enterprise urgently.
The system of blocking of differential (EDS) works with electronic control together with ABS. In EDS points out burning of a control lamp of ABS malfunction. Try to address to the service enterprise as soon as possible.
CAT – catalytic converter (only for cars with V8 engines). The control lamp blinks at functional control after inclusion of ignition and dies away after warming up of the engine.
If the control lamp lights up during the movement, so there was a danger of an overheat of converter because of violations in operation of the engine. It is necessary to stop the car and to cool the engine.
AIRBAG – system of safety cushions. After inclusion of ignition the control lamp burns with about 3 pages. On cars with the disconnected pillow for the forward passenger the control lamp blinks about 12 pages.
If the lamp does not die away or lights up during the movement, the system of safety cushions is faulty. Such system should be checked immediately in the service enterprise.
ASR – protivobuksovochny system with reduction of torque of the engine. The control lamp lights up at inclusion of ignition and has to go out approximately through 2 pages. The lamp blinks at the movement in the reaction time of protivobuksovochny system. At the switched-off protivobuksovochny system or at violation in its work the control lamp burns constantly. As the protivobuksovochny system works together with anti-blocking system of brakes and protivobuksovochny system with snubbing of the revolving wheel, at violations in work of anti-blocking system (ABS) the control lamp of protivobuksovochny system (ASR) also burns.
AUTO–Check
The system of automatic control at the included ignition and at the movement constantly controls performance of certain functions and a condition of separate components of the car.
About violation in work and need of carrying out repair or maintenance lets know a sound signal and red or yellow, depending on degree of importance of malfunction or repair, the light pictogram in a combination of devices.
On minor malfunction the instruction only appears when malfunction of paramount importance is eliminated.
Besides, for confirmation of red or yellow light pictograms on the display the text of the message appears.
The text of the message and the corresponding instructions for the driver are given in one of five foreign languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese (depending on the country for which release this car).
Malfunctions of paramount importance (red pictograms)
At emergence of violation in certain systems and devices after inclusion of ignition the pictogram appears. At the same time the corresponding threefold sound signal works.
Pictograms of paramount importance warn about danger therefore it is necessary to stop, switch off the engine, to eliminate malfunction, and if necessary it is necessary to ask for the qualified technical assistance.
If there were several malfunctions of paramount importance at once, pictograms appear one by one approximately on 2 with everyone. Pictograms blink until malfunction is eliminated.
Malfunctions of minor importance (yellow pictograms)
