2.24. Check of level of liquid in the amplifier of steering
On cars with the self-leveled suspension bracket check liquid level in the amplifier of steering on the car without loading.
Level of liquid can be checked in the cold or heated to 50 °C state.
On the car with cold liquid in system of the amplifier of steering at the working engine establish forward wheels for the movement directly forward.
On the car with hot liquid in system of the amplifier of steering at the working engine establish forward wheels for the movement directly forward.
Unscrew a cover from a tank of the amplifier of steering (fig. 2-27). Wipe with pure rags the probe which is in the lower part of a cover.
Screw and again unscrew a cover.
Check the liquid level which has to be about a tag of MIN (fig. 2-28). The liquid level tolerance on the probe from a tag of MIN makes ± 2 mm.
If necessary add fresh liquid.
The tank of the amplifier of steering never has to be empty.
Screw a cover on a tank of the amplifier of steering.
Make a control trip at which liquid in the amplifier of steering will get warm up to the temperature about 50 °C. Check the liquid level which has to be between tags of MIN and MAX.
