2.13. Check of level of oil in the mechanical transmission
In a mechanical box it is not necessary to replace oil.

For weakening of a carving stopper of an oil-filling opening use a key with a face head of VW 3357 (fig. 2-18).
Apply oil to a dolivka
G 052 911 SAE 75W–90.
G 052 911 SAE 75W–90.
Install the car on the elevator in horizontal position.
Remove the lower mudguard of the engine.
Unscrew a stopper of an oil-filling opening from the transmission which is located before the left shaft of the drive and it can be closed by the thermofilter of a shaft of the drive (fig. 2-19, 2-20).
Check oil level a curved wire.
It has to be in the five-speed transmission 012 of the front-wheel car on 7 mm from the lower edge of a carving opening.
It has to be in the six-speed transmission 01E and the five-speed transmission 01A of the front-wheel car at the lower edge of a carving opening.
Oil level has to be in the six-speed transmission 01E of the all-wheel drive car on 1 mm from the lower edge of a carving opening.
If necessary add oil through an oil-filling opening.
Screw in a stopper and tighten its moment 25 N · m for the transmission 012 and 01A, 40 N · m for the transmission 01E.
