21:17. Cables of the parking brake

Removal
Lift the car on the elevator and remove back wheels.
Release the parking brake.
On all-wheel drive cars remove back section of system of release.

Note a relative positioning of a flange of the driveshaft and a flange of the main reverse gear and unscrew bolts of fastening of the driveshaft to the main reverse gear (fig. 15-38).
Unscrew screws and remove the central thermofilter (see fig. 15-38).

Special key 3343 weaken an adjusting nut of fastening of the compensator on draft of the lever of the parking brake (see fig. 15-34).
Remove cables of the parking brake from the compensator.
Take out the springs fixing covers of cables of the parking brake (see fig. 15-34).

Disconnect a cable from a support (fig. 15-39).
Take a cover of a cable of the parking brake from an arm and move a cable to a back part (see fig. 15-39).
Do not unscrew a bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber to the cross lever of a back suspension bracket (see fig. 15-39).

Release the left cable of the parking brake from a clamp of 1 (fig. 15-40) and, moving it back, take from the directing tube 2.
Release the right cable of the parking brake from clamps 4 and 5 and, moving it back, take from the directing tube 3.

Installation
Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal, taking into account the following.
Tighten bolts of fastening of the driveshaft to the main reverse gear the moment of 55 N · m.
Check that the system was installed freely, without tension, with a sufficient gap from body elements.
Adjust the parking brake.
