3.15. Camshaft

Removal
Take off a gear belt from pulleys of camshafts.
Uncover a head of the block of cylinders.
Turn off two bolts and remove the sensor case from the back party of the left head of the block of cylinders.
Remove a camshaft pulley.
Note the provision of covers of bearings of the camshaft.

First of all unscrew nuts and uncover 2 and 3 bearings of the camshaft (fig. 3.1-89).
Gradually on diagonal weaken nuts of fastening of a cover of 1 and 4 bearings of the camshaft and uncover.
Remove the camshaft.

Installation
Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal, taking into account the following.

Keep in mind that covers of bearings are asymmetrical therefore before installation of the camshaft define their correct situation (fig. 3.1-90)
Grease with a thin layer of engine oil the camshaft and establish it in a head of the block of cylinders.
Establish covers of 1 and 4 bearings of the camshaft and fix by nuts, tightening them gradually on diagonal.
Establish other covers of bearings of the camshaft and fix them by nuts.
Establish a gear belt.
Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
Wait about 30 minutes before launch of the engine. It is necessary in order that there was a stabilization of work of hydraulic pushers, otherwise pistons will hit against valves.
