Removal
Remove a back wheel.

Using special V.A.G 1752/1dlya adaptation of compression of springs, serially squeeze springs of a back suspension bracket and remove them (see fig. 12-18). Rounds of a spring should be taken reliably adaptation, you make compression of a spring from the opposite sides.

Prevention
The spring has big effort of compression therefore use only very reliable tool.

Unscrew a nut of fastening of 1 (fig. 12-23) of the fuel tank.
In the presence disconnect an ABS sensor wire from the cross lever.

Using a jack with V.A.G 1359/2 adaptation installed on it, raise the lower trapezoidal lever (see fig. 12-19).

Unscrew a fastening bolt 3 shock-absorbers (see fig. 12-23).
Unscrew a nut and remove an eccentric bolt 4.
Unscrew a nut 2, press the fuel tank up and take a bolt of fastening of the cross lever of a back suspension bracket.
Remove the cross lever of a back suspension bracket.

Installation
Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal, taking into account the following.
Finally tighten a bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber and a nut of fastening of the cross lever after a raising a jack of the lower trapezoidal lever before compression of the shock-absorber on 40–50 mm.

Establish a spring so that the lower round of a spring was precisely combined with deepenings of the lower support of a spring (see fig. 12-20).
Remove devices for compression of a spring.
