18.1. Forward suspension bracket

The suspension bracket is a link between a body and wheels. Forces influencing wheels are transmitted through it on a body. The suspension bracket serves for decrease in dynamic loadings, reduction of fluctuations of a body, mitigation of blows of wheels about roughness of the road, provides stability and smoothness of the course of the car.
As the bearing element of a forward suspension bracket serves the lower cross beam. The power unit fastens to a beam through the corresponding support.
Forward suspension bracket – independent the McPherson type. The top levers from aluminum alloy are attached to a body via rubber plugs, and to a rotary fist – via spherical hinges. Lower (holding and operating) levers are attached via rubber plugs to the lower frame, and to a rotary fist – via spherical hinges.
The elastic element of a forward suspension bracket is executed in the form of a rack with elastic additional polyurethane elements and limiters of the course of a suspension bracket with the progressive characteristic. The top part of a damping rack fastens to the top arm of a forward suspension bracket, and lower – to the cross lever.

Preventions
It is strictly forbidden to perform welding and leveling works on elements of a forward suspension bracket. Surely replace самоконтрящиеся nuts, and also bolts with corrosion traces.
It is forbidden to lift the car for the lower forward frame.
