7.7. Accelerator cable
Removal
Remove the lower casing of the panel from the driver.
Take in deepening for the driver's legs a transitional cap from a partition of a motor compartment.
Cars with the automatic transmission
Disconnect the electric socket from the mechanism of compulsory inclusion of a low gear.
Remove the protection covers located in the left back part of a motor compartment.
Unscrew four screws and remove an engine casing (fig. 4.1-16; 4.1–17).
Cars about a cruise control

Unscrew two bolts and remove from an arm the vacuum chamber of system a cruise control.
Cars with six-cylinder engines

Using a rozhkovy key on 8 mm, disconnect a tip of a cable of 1 accelerator from the lever of the drive of a butterfly valve (fig. 4.1-19).
Take a spring clip 3 fastenings of a cover of a cable of an accelerator to an arm 2 and take a cable from an arm 2.
Using a screw-driver edge as the lever, remove a spring clamp 5.
Extend an accelerator cable in a motor compartment.

Take out a spring clip of 2 (fig. 4.1-21) and the rubber plug 1 with a cable cover 4 accelerators from an arm 3.
Extend an accelerator cable in a motor compartment.

Installation
Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.
Do not carry too far an accelerator cable.
Adjust an accelerator cable.
Adjustment of a cable of an accelerator
The help of the second mechanic is necessary for adjustment of provision of a cable of an accelerator.
Take out a spring clip and the rubber plug with an accelerator cable cover from an arm.
Press an accelerator pedal against the stop and adjust the provision of a cable of an accelerator so that the butterfly valve was completely open. The provision of a cable of an accelerator is regulated by movement of the rubber plug on a cable cover. In this situation insert the rubber plug of a cover and fix it by a spring clip.
Note
At installation it is necessary to use new sealing rings and laying.
