15.1. Mechanical transmission

The transmission will transform the torque transferred from the engine in size and the direction. It is necessary for ensuring optimum speed and passability of the car, and also for the most economic operation of the engine and for the movement of the car a backing. Besides, transmissions separates the engine and transmission during a stop and the parking of the car and at its movement on inertia with the working engine.
Details of the transmission are placed in a case which bolts fastens to a back part of the engine.
The torque from the engine through coupling is transferred to the leading shaft of the transmission. The conducted shaft the transmission transmits torque through differential to drive shaft. Inclusion of transfer is carried out by movement of the sliding synchronizer coupling therefore the gear wheel rigidly connects to a transmission shaft.
The transmission represents very difficult unit it it is recommended to repair in a specialized workshop therefore only removal and installation of the transmission are given in the present section.
For removal of the transmission it is necessary to lift the car and to enshrine it in this provision. Use of a stationary jack is also necessary.
