4.4. Replacement of a gear belt

Removal

Prevention
Before removal, using chalk, a marker or paint, note the direction of rotation of a gear belt. If at installation of the gear belt which was in the use it rotates in other party, it will lead to its destruction.

At a vvertyvaniye the special tool 2079 the moment of an inhaling of the central bolt of 14 (fig. 3.2-17) makes 350 N · m, without special tool 2079 – 450 N · m.

Before a detachment of the rechargeable battery find out whether you have a code of turning on of the radio receiver.
All clips and collars which at removal of the engine will be damaged or cut need to be replaced on new at assembly of the engine.
The rechargeable battery is located under half of the luggage compartment.
Switch off ignition and disconnect a wire of "weight" from the rechargeable battery.
Turning a bent shaft of the engine in the direction of its working rotation for a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft, install the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point (TDP).

Turn out the screw of fastening of the left ventilating grate of a bumper (at the same time also the right lattice is released) and remove lattices (see fig. 3.2-1).

Turn out screws and remove the lower mudguard of a motor compartment (see fig. 3.2-2)
Open the crane in the radiator basis, put on a hose with a diameter of 12 mm the crane and merge cooling liquid from a radiator.

Weaken a tension of a poliklinovy belt for what a wrench for a hexagon turn the tension mechanism (fig. 3.2-18) up.

Turn out screws and remove an engine casing (see fig. 3.2-3).
Release a clip of fastening of a hose of the cooling system to the right casing of a gear belt.
Weaken collars and remove the air inlet branch pipe connecting the air filter and the case of throttle knot.

Turn out bolts and remove a casing of the fan of a radiator (fig. 3.2-19) up. Disconnect electric sockets from the radiator fan engine.
If the radiator fan with the viscous coupling is installed, turn out it.

Holding a radiator fan pulley from a provorachivaniye a special key 3212, a usual key unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pulley. Keep in mind that the bolt has the left carving therefore for a reversing it is necessary to rotate it clockwise (fig. 3.2-20).
Lift the fan of a radiator up and remove it from the car.
Unscrew a forward right support of the engine.

Weaken collars and disconnect cooling system hoses from the engine (fig. 3.2-21).
Weaken a collar, disconnect a cooling system hose from the top part of a radiator and turn it clockwise.
Turning a bent shaft of the engine in the direction of its working rotation for a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft, install the piston of the first cylinder in VMT.

Check: the tag on a pulley of a bent shaft has to be combined with the index on a casing (fig. 3.2-22).

Using special adaptation 3197 (fig. 3.2-23), record a pulley of a bent shaft from a provorachivaniye and unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft on one turn (but do not unscrew completely).
Unscrew the sensor case in a back part of the right head of the block of cylinders.

Turn out bolts and remove the left casing of a gear belt (fig. 3.2-24).
Remove the right casing of a gear belt assigned to a pulley of a poliklinovy belt, having removed a pulley.

Turn out six screws of fastening of the right casing of a gear belt and remove a casing (fig. 3.2-25).

Serially, using special adaptation 3036 (fig. 3.2-26), record a camshaft pulley from a provorachivaniye and turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the camshaft on three turns (but do not unscrew completely).

Turn out a sensor rotor from the left head of the block of cylinders (fig. 3.2-27).
Close ledges of camshafts special glasses with flanges (special adaptation 3341).

Turn the camshaft for a six-sided ledge in a shaft end face after removal of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders (fig. 3.2-28).

Weaken a tension of a gear belt for what weaken a nut of fastening of a tension roller and turn a roller (fig. 3.2-29) down.
Manually squeeze the shock-absorber of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
Using chalk, a marker or paint, note the direction of rotation of a gear belt.
Take off a gear belt from camshaft pulleys.
For a provorachivaniye of pulleys of camshafts remove them from landing cones for what knock with the plastic or wooden hammer from a reverse side of pulleys.
Turn out four bolts of fastening of a pulley of a quencher of fluctuations.
Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft.
Remove a quencher of fluctuations, at the same time the pulley of a gear belt of a bent shaft has to remain on the place.
Take off a gear belt.
Do not turn a bent shaft of the engine at the taken-off gear belt as pistons can hit against valves.

Preventions
1. Do not overwind and do not bend a gear belt. Exclude hit on a gear belt of oil, cooling liquid or fuel.
If teeths of a gear belt vykroshitsya, perhaps, jammed the ignition distributor, the water pump, the oil pump or the camshaft.
2. The gear belt can become torn on the working engine as a result of blow of pistons about valves therefore valves can be bent. Check gaps of valves. On the bent valves gaps will be much more demanded.
If the external surface of a gear belt is considerably worn-out or stratified, check a condition of a racetrack of single pulleys.
If only one party of a belt is worn-out or damaged, check a guide of a gear belt and alignment of pulleys of a gear belt.
   With any defects on a gear belt it needs to be replaced.

Installation and adjustment of a tension
Establish a gear belt on a pulley of a bent shaft.
Establish a quencher of fluctuations.
Screw and tighten by hand four bolts of fastening of a quencher of fluctuations.
Grease with a thin layer of engine oil a carving and a basic surface of a head of a bolt and screw in a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft. For an exception of a provorachivaniye of a pulley record it special adaptation.
Make sure that pulleys of a gear belt of camshafts are freely turned on cones, i.e. bolts of fastening of pulleys are turned out on one turn.
Establish a gear belt on all pulleys, including a pulley of the water pump.
Tighten a nut of fastening of a tension roller of a gear belt so that the clown of a roller it was still possible to turn.
Tighten four bolts of fastening of a quencher of fluctuations.

Adjust a tension of a gear belt, having turned special V-159 adaptation clockwise the clown of a tension roller before achievement of the required length of the shock-absorber (fig. 3.2-30 and 3.2-31).

Length of the shock-absorber of a gear belt on the cold engine has to make 136–139 mm, on hot – 126–129 mm.
Remove the special glasses with flanges closing ledges of camshafts.
Establish a sensor rotor in a back part of a head of the block of cylinders and fix it by a bolt (see fig. 3.2-27).
Turn manually a bent shaft of the engine on two turns.
You carry out further installation to the sequences, the return to removal.
