23:10. E87 control unit of air conditioning system
Before removal of the E87 control unit consider the malfunctions which are in memory.
After replacement of the E87 control unit check and if necessary correct a code, execute the main installation and consider malfunctions.
If the display shows temperature of 22 °C, irrespective of the established temperature check connection of the 30 plug according to the electric circuit.
The E87 control unit can be made active after switching off of ignition (up to 30 min.) by pressing of the Rest button.
In case of the wrong measurement of temperature the G56 sensor check a condition of a lattice of an air inlet.
Cars with the sensor of quality of G238 air can be identified by the button A for "automatic air recirculation" (automatic recirculation of air) instead of the Off button on the E87 control unit.
Removal
Control units with indexes to "K"
Remove the central ventilating grates.
Remove the central section of the dashboard.
Disconnect electric sockets from a reverse side of the control unit.

If the E87 control unit does not leave the central section of the dashboard, previously remove the finishing panel "under a tree" from the central section of the dashboard.
Control units with indexes to "M"
Remove the central ventilating grates.
Remove the radio receiver or the block of system of navigation.
Perhaps various execution of the decorative panel of cars with the radio receiver (with the big control panel) or the block of system of navigation, and also the control unit with the display on cars with heating of seats.

Disconnect electric sockets from a reverse side of the control unit.
Disconnect the electric socket of a heater of back glass.
Remove switches of heating of seats. For this purpose release clamps and, having pulled back, remove the switch.
Installation
Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.
