11.3. System of production of the fulfilled gases

The system of production of the fulfilled gases serves for removal of the fulfilled gases in the atmosphere, prevention of their hit in interior of the car even in the minimum quantity and reductions of noise of the engine. That the system of release normally worked, it has to be in good repair. The condition of system of production of the fulfilled gases influences also the engine capacity and fuel consumption.

Notes
Always replace laying and самоконтрящиеся nuts.
After service and repair of system of release check that the system was installed freely, without tension, with a sufficient gap concerning body elements.

For simplification of unscrewing in the subsequent the nuts and bolts fixing system grease them with high-temperature Liqui Moly LM-508-ASC paste.
Before repeated installation of elements of system of release clear their junction an emery paper of the remains of sealant and a rust.
The connecting element in a forward exhaust pipe should not be bent more than on 10 °, otherwise it will be damaged.
Back and central mufflers are executed in the form of the uniform block, however each of them can be replaced separately.
Nuts of fastening of a clip tighten evenly until 40 N · m.

At installation of system of production of the fulfilled gases the distance between the central muffler and a cross beam in a free state has to make (19±3) mm (fig. 5.3-15).
The distance between forward pipes of the central muffler and a cross beam in a free state has to make on front-wheel cars 31,5 mm, on all-wheel drive – 29,5 mm.
Connect new section of the muffler to old and connect them a collar, having arranged it so that the bottom edge of its bolt of fastening settled down at the level of a pipe of mufflers.

On front-wheel and all-wheel drive cars the suspension brackets of an exhaust pipe differing on a design are applied to elements of a body (fig. 5.3-16, 5.3-17, 5.3-18).
