14.3. Removal of air from the hydraulic drive of coupling

For removal of air it is necessary to use the special equipment working from external pressure. After connection of the tight camera with brake fluid to a tank of the main cylinder liquid is merged via the pumping union on the working cylinder until vials of air in the following liquid cease to appear. It is recommended to use the compressed air given under pressure of no more than 2,5 bars.
When using this method with a big tank with liquid additional protection of hydraulic system of coupling against possible hit of air is provided during pumping.

Preventions
The brake fluid used in the hydraulic drive of coupling is poisonous therefore at its hit on skin it is necessary to wash out immediately this place a large amount of water. If liquid got into eyes or in an organism, it is necessary to see a doctor immediately. Some liquids have property to ignite easily and can light up even from contact with hot knots of the car. Besides, the liquid used in the hydraulic drive dissolves paint and plastic therefore at hit of liquid on a paint and varnish covering of the car wash out its large number waters. As this liquid is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from air), it is not recommended to use the liquid which is stored a long time in open ware.
Any hydraulic system works normally if air is removed from it.
During removal of air add only pure liquid recommended by the manufacturer. Never reuse liquid which flowed out from the hydraulic drive of coupling.
If in hydraulic system liquids of various brands incidentally mixed up, remove from it liquid, wash out pure liquid of the required brand and establish new sealing rings.
At continuous leak of liquid from the hydraulic drive or hit in hydraulic system of air define the reason and the place of leak and eliminate damage.

Fig. 8-4. Installation of a transparent tube (A) on the union of pumping of the working cylinder of the drive of coupling

Put on one end of a transparent hose the pumping union, lower the second end of a hose in the glass vessel which is partially filled with brake fluid (fig. 8-4).
According to the instruction connect the device for removal of air under pressure to a tank of the main cylinder.
Unscrew the pumping union half way and allow liquid to flow down in a glass vessel until vials of air in a vessel cease to appear.
After removal of air from hydraulic system of coupling screw the pumping union, remove from it a hose, and then adaptation from a tank.
Clear the pumping union of brake fluid and establish on it a protective cap.
Check the level of brake fluid in a tank and if necessary add brake fluid.
